Arrival and Car Parking Facilities at Rowan Hut
The site is accessed via a wooden double gate which leads to a main gravel track. You will need to open and close this gate on arrival. The gravel track is suitable for all vehicles but please note the speed restriction of 10mph. Access to Rowan is half-way down the track (40 meters) on the left. Off-track gravel parking is provided for one car only. There is a wooden gate which connects the parking area to a pedestrian a path which leads approx. 20m uphill through the woods to Rowan Hut. No cars are allowed beyond this point. The path is both steep and un-even in places. We will provide both a wheelbarrow and torch on your arrival.
Rowan Hut – Access and Entrance
Access up 4 wooden steps to covered deck area. Steps and decking to be lit for safe arrival. All surfaces are wooden and can get slippy in poor weather. Outside deck is covered and does have a balustrade.
Rowan Hut – Internal
Kitchen area comprising woodburner, gas oven, gas hob, fridge and copper sink. Toilet, shower and sink behind sliding door to the rear of the hut. Table and stools will need to be moved into position before use. Care must be taken climbing the ladder to the mezzanine sleeping area.
External Area
There are individual campfires for each hut. Please only use wood provided and keep all fire in the confines of the designated fire pit. Bins are located to the rear of the hut (recycling facilities available in the clearly labelled bins). A wooden shed houses the gas bottles – please do not access.

The gravel track is suitable for all vehicles down but please note the speed restriction of 10mph. Access to Bracken is at the end of this track and through an additional black metal gate (80 meters). Off-track gravel parking is provided for one car only. No cars are allowed beyond this point. The distance between the parking space and the hut is approx. 12 meters, there is a small grassy slope. We will provide a wheelbarrow on your arrival.

Off-track gravel parking is provided for one car only. There is a wooden gate which connects the parking area to a pedestrian a path which leads approx. 6m along a flat gravel path to Bramble Hut. No cars are allowed beyond this point. We will provide a wheelbarrow on your arrival.

The site is accessed via a wooden double gate which leads to a main gravel track. You will need to open and close this gate on arrival. The gravel track is suitable for all vehicles down but please note the speed restriction of 10mph. Access to Skylark is a quarter-way down the track (20 meters) on the left. Off-track gravel parking is provided for one car only. There is a wooden gate which connects the parking area to a pedestrian a path which leads approx. 20m uphill through the woods to Skylark. This path is gravel and very steep. An alternative route can be requested for those that might have issues with the pedestrian path. No cars are allowed beyond this point. The path is both steep and un-even in places. We will provide both a wheelbarrow and torch on your arrival.

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities at Raven
The site is accessed via a wooden double gate which leads to a dedicated gravel track. You will need to open and close this gate on arrival. The gravel track is steep and sports cars may struggle. There is an optional layby at the bottom of the track, otherwise parking for Raven is at the top of the track.
Please note the speed restriction of 10mph. Off-track gravel parking is provided for one car only. There is a wooden gate which connects the parking area to a pedestrian path which leads approx. 6m on a flat gravel path to Raven. The path between the parking area and Raven is lit buy a push button mechanism.
Raven – Access and Entrance
The is a keysafe and an automated light at the entrance to Raven. Keys will be left in the keysafe and a code provided.
Raven – Internal
Raven is set on 4 floors with a staircase between every level. There are approx. 12 steps on each flight of stairs. All flights have a handrail. The kitchen area is on the ground floor comprising gas oven, gas hob, fridge, sink. The living room is on the 1st floor and comprises two chairs, coffee table, woodburner, cocktail cabinet. There is an exit door that leads onto the roof of the external porch and there are external stones steps down to the ground level. The bedroom area is on the second floor comprising a king size bed, a small amount of storage and a separate Toilet and basin. The bedroom area also features an emergency escape window. A wooden bath and shower are on the third floor with a retractable rooflight.
