Relax at Hesleyside

Relaxing Break in Northumberland

Reconnect with Nature

Conquering the art of doing nothing, well, is no mean feat, but Hesleyside is the perfect place to escape from the everyday, a little slice of heaven set in 4,000 acres of outstanding natural beauty in the heart of Northumberland National Park.

We encourage you to come glamping Northumberland style and re-discover true relaxation, enjoying your idyllic surroundings and doing as much or as little as you like. Take the chance to stop, breath and re-connect with yourself and each other; read a book, sleep in the comfort of your luxury bed, wallow in a deep bath, sit and contemplate your thoughts as nature happens around you. It’s entirely up to you but we’ve highlighted a few of our favourite ways of spending time on the Hesleyside Estate below…

Woodland Walks
& Wildlife

Step outside, breathe in the fresh air and enjoy hundreds of acres of magical woodland walks available exclusively to our guests. Marvel at the giant trees, oddly shaped mushrooms and wonderful wildlife, immersing yourself in the peace and tranquillity of your idyllic surroundings, created over hundreds of years.

Stargazing

The entire Hesleyside Estate sits under Northumberland’s ‘Dark Sky Reserve’ and each night explodes into life with millions of stars. For a close up look, grab the star-gazing kit in your Cabin or Shepherds Hut and marvel at the enormity of the universe, taking advantage of this rare opportunity to witness the night sky without light pollution.

Campfire

Nothing beats a camp fire as a means of relaxation. All of our Shepherds Huts and Cabins have their own private campfire. Snuggle under blankets and toast marshmallows (provided of course!) under star-filled skies, have a fry-up at sun-rise and enjoy a good book at sun-set. We provide the initial supply of wood and all the cooking equipment you’ll need.
