With charming Hansel and Gretel good looks, this enchanting and romantic secluded chapel on wheels is the perfect place to step off the world and truly unwind from the pressures of the everyday. Made using cladding from a Victorian school and large reclaimed church doors, Holly is an irresistible hideaway full to the brim with little luxuries that will set even the most reluctant glamper at ease including a sumptuous king-size bed, magnificent freestanding copper roll-top bath, flushing loo with fluffy towels, wood-fired hot tub and complimentary toiletries as well as a charming wood-burning stove. We also allow 1 well-behaved dog.

Spend the day doing as much or as little as you like. Amble along miles of magical woodland trails, sit and read, talk, or immerse yourself in the huge, freestanding copper bathtub big enough for 2, the perfect place to unravel your busy thoughts and enjoy the magnificent view through the open Chapel doors. As dusk falls to night, revel in some of the darkest skies in the UK – on a clear evening grab the stargazing equipment from your cabin and take pleasure in seeing the Milky Way in all its glory.

As the day slides away, stoke up the firepit before stepping out onto your deck and hunkering down under extra blankets to enjoy a glass of red – light a fire and toast marshmallows (which we provide of course). It’s practically impossible not to feel utterly peaceful and contemplative. Exhausted? Clamber up the ladder to your impossibly comfortable king-sized bed, and sink between the fine Egyptian cotton sheets. Three nights in one of our log cabins in the heart of Northumberland may not feel like enough…

"Stayed at Heather and the experience was amazing, loved the wooden stove it warms up the hut really quick.

It’s very unique and you feel independent and out there in the wild. I wish the checkout wasn’t so early at 10am. 12pm would have been great so it doesn’t feel like rushed in the morning and you get to sleep with less stress. 2 x sacks of wood lasted us the two nights and even managed to do a lil bbq with it."

Just amazing. Nothing else needs to be said really, but I will anyway. We stayed in Rowan last weekend. The hut was immaculate and beautifully presented for our arrival. The hut itself is even better than it looks in the pictures online! It is clean and cosy, the windows allow plenty of light in during the day and are equipped with shutters which can be closed as necessary.

You have everything you need inside to survive. The bathroom has a modern feel without losing the charm of the hut. The bed was very comfortable. The view from the verandah is beautiful and the amount of wildlife around is amazing. It really feels you’re in the wild without sacrificing the comforts of home. Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better base at which to spend our long weekend. Will be back!!!

Magical treehouse, private setting so not overlooked. Perfect for couples as romantic retreat but also fabulous with children as like a fairytale house.
