Inspired by the wilderness cabins of North America, Rowan is as close to a real life fairytale as you’re likely to find. Handcrafted from reclaimed Oak and accessed via your own private walkway, Rowan is nestled at the edge of ancient woodland, perfectly positioned for views of the cavernous star-filled skies. With an outdoor bath, spacious verandah, cosy wood-burning stove, en-suite shower room with fluffy towels, a luxurious king sized bed nestled amidst the rafters and a separate bunk room there is little wonder that it is one of our most loved getaways.

Rowan boasts a wood-burning stove, fully-stocked kitchen with gas hob & oven, en-suite shower room with flushing loo and little extras such as your own stash of marshmallows for toasting which will surely delight even the most reluctant ‘glamper’.

Marvel at the universe using your stargazing equipment, make a fire or simply unwind with a book in your magnificent outdoor tub, then as the day comes to an end, make your way into the rafters via a magical iron staircase and sink into your luxurious king-sized bed, complete with fine Egyptian cotton sheets, mood lighting and a stargazing dormer window. If you are looking for luxury cabins or lodges in Northumberland look no further, this is no run-of-the-mill glamping experience.

"Stayed at Heather and the experience was amazing, loved the wooden stove it warms up the hut really quick.

It’s very unique and you feel independent and out there in the wild. I wish the checkout wasn’t so early at 10am. 12pm would have been great so it doesn’t feel like rushed in the morning and you get to sleep with less stress. 2 x sacks of wood lasted us the two nights and even managed to do a lil bbq with it."

Just amazing. Nothing else needs to be said really, but I will anyway. We stayed in Rowan last weekend. The hut was immaculate and beautifully presented for our arrival. The hut itself is even better than it looks in the pictures online! It is clean and cosy, the windows allow plenty of light in during the day and are equipped with shutters which can be closed as necessary.

You have everything you need inside to survive. The bathroom has a modern feel without losing the charm of the hut. The bed was very comfortable. The view from the verandah is beautiful and the amount of wildlife around is amazing. It really feels you’re in the wild without sacrificing the comforts of home. Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better base at which to spend our long weekend. Will be back!!!

Magical treehouse, private setting so not overlooked. Perfect for couples as romantic retreat but also fabulous with children as like a fairytale house.
